Spring is on the horizon and we hope that everyone is taking a moment in the sunsihine to breathe. This past week our Women Who Lunch group met to share thoughts on Healing and the many ways it exists in our lives. It is always a joy to bring together such a powerful group of female-identifying professionals. This month’s co-host was Advisor Rebecca Holderness. Rebecca will be organizing a networking event for our Hudson Valley advisors so stay tuned!

From Flobel Associate Director Rivka Rivera: To Protect, Serve & Understand
As many of you know, since 2016 I have been working on a project called To Protect, Serve & Understand (TPSU). TPSU is a program that uses theatrical improvisation and actor training techniques to build communication and empathy between officers and the civilians they are charged to protect and serve. Furthermore, this program urges its participants to engage in critical thinking about the systems that we all exist in and through acts of imagination consider alternative ways of being.
Doing this work continues to be phenomenally challenging and inspiring.
Next Friday March 25th & Saturday March 26th – a brave group of civilian and police will be sharing their work onstage. These performances will be the culmination of their 10 weeks of working together. There will be tough discussions, wonderful performances and a continued exploration of policing in New York.
