I was reading the newspaper the other day and it was reported that Spencer Silver, a chemist who quite accidentally invented the adhesive that is now used for POST-IT notes, passed away earlier in the month. POST-IT notes, what a great invention. Everyone uses them all the time.
The Kardashians have been frontrunners in celebrity branding and are certainly no strangers to the importance of protecting their famous names with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

9-Year-Old Golden Girl Gets Patent For Invention
According to KDVR, a 9-year-old from Golden is celebrating after she was granted a patent for her invention called the Lovie Window Backpack, which has a clear pocket on the outside that allows kids to see their stuffed animals during the day at school.
