Healing In Harmony With a Homeless Veteran

Hi –

This Saturday, I’m honored to be one of 5 storyteller and songwriter teams performing at TRUE SONGS (IRL at Caffe Lena and Online From Anywhere), an incredibly unique event that reveals the impact of 5 non-profits, via storytelling from one of their beneficiaries, and a new original song based on that person’s story.I wrote a song based on the true journey of brave Gail, a homeless veteran, from troubled youth, to NYC music school, to the Air Force, the streets, and now, the Veterans Community Housing Coalition.  I have been humbled, inspired, and catapulted back into gratitude many times as I’ve worked with her, her mentor, and her storytelling coach.  And I am honored to sing the brand new song based on her story at True Songs Saturday night.I hope you’ll join us live in Saratoga Springs NY, or Online from anywhere (online ticket also gives you access to the show for a week afterwards, in case you cannot attend live Saturday at 7 pm EST). GET TICKETS for In PersonGET TICKETS for OnlineOther performing songwriters include Peggy Lynn of Jamcrackers, Holly McGarry of Honeysuckle, Sean Rowe, and Joel Moss & Dave Maswick. What are the Stories and Songs about?
–  A family farm in a fast developing community is preserved forever for agriculture by Saratoga PLAN
– A veteran gets the support she needs to regain her health and get off the streets from Veterans & Community Housing Coalition
– A man loses his sight but gains a new outlet for his lifelong habit of helping others through Glens Falls Association for the Blind
– A man raised on a Schuylerville farm finds a way to preserve the history of a changing community through Hudson Crossing Park
– A young girl transcends Autism barriers with the help of horses at STEP (Saratoga Therapeutic Equestrian Program).Events like these are rare…where you not only hear fascinating stories and world premieres of new songs, but you get to witness their transformative, healing power live onstage. Come be reminded that amazing things are happening in the world.  People are healing, giving, being kind even when they don’t have to.  Help is there if you reach out for it.  Love is still winning.Even if that’s not what you see in the news. You’ll see it Saturday.
