Karen Whitman’s New Website and Scarecrow Festival Show on Saturday in Woodstock

Hi Woodstock Area Friends!

I hope you are all doing well and that you had a wonderful summer!
I’ve been really busy with a NEW WEBSITE I have recently launched, featuring a whole different body of work from what you may have seen of mine in the area! After days of working all in black and white, I’d sit down at the computer and make doodles in bright colors in Microsoft Paint, with the help of a little mouse, and make wild abstract designs. As often as not, I’d find the potential for a wild creature in there and start adding eyes and wings and tails ~ and sometimes hats! (As exemplified by the one called “Party Animal”!) ~ and turn them into something you may or may not want to run into in a dark alley! (Many remain as abstracts, which I’ll debut at future events.) It will be exciting to get these out into the 3-D world!
I am going to be making my world debut with the “Critter” prints (digital) and merch (mugs, tote bags, throw pillows) I’ve made from these images, this Saturday from 12-4  SCARECROW FESTIVAL (See flyer below) at the Comeau Property on the lawn by the Woodstock town offices at sponsored by The Woodstock Land Conservancy. A kid and family friendly community event, and will include scarecrows made by artists at The Woodstock School of Art!
Just sign my Email list andyou are entered!(Site and Festival Flyer Below)
