2023 Vintage Update
Shadow
Slow and steady, on track for a perfect vintage. The first signs of Veraison were spotted at our estate vineyard this past weekend with most of the vines are still green and one overachieving vines turning its Cabernet grapes skins purple. Within the next 2 weeks, most of our vineyard should go through veraison as the rest of Napa will.It is hard to believe if you are anywhere but California; this year is “Super El Niño” year in which it rains a lot in the winter (as it did) and the temperatures are cooler than usual for most of the year. While it hasn’t rained once since early May, we are enjoying a cool summer in Napa and we’ll be grateful for a few heat spells as harvest is currently one month behind schedule. Some of the best vintages are during cooler years and their wines tend be cellar worthy for many decades into the future. If you haven’t booked your travel yet for this upcoming harvest, you still have time. You are very welcome to visit us in Napa and make some unforgettable memories in one of the most beautiful places in America. -Malek Amrani

Not a coincidence!  47 x 90+ points by Wine Spectator & James Suckling during the past 3 years alone… 2023 marks our 11th vintage at The Vice. With over 120 Napa Valley wines crafted under The Vice label during the past 10 years, we’ve had countless of opportunities to be judged and rated by the press.  Although the industry ratings and reviews are purely subjective, we were blessed to receive 47 x 90+ points ratings from Wine Spectator and James Suckling during the past 3 years alone. Such achievement is proof of the consistency and quality of our craft. Truthfully, we’ve lost count of the actual cumulative 90+ points ratings we’ve received from all press outlets since our inception. We have yet to earn a 100 Points perfect rating score, but alas, we strive everyday for perfection and we’ll continue to aim to be the best winery in the world.
