Programming Structure

Programming Structure!
Click Here to Support WTP!Each playwright’s path of development is individual and unique, this is one example of how members may move through our programming.

Monday Night Development Workshops are a great way to start your creative journey with WTP. We recommend bringing in early or unfinished drafts into this program scene by scene.

Early drafts of plays presented in MNDW are eligible for consideration for a Table Series reading. The Table Series gives members the opportunity to work with a dramaturg on their new play and experience a reading by members of the WTP Actor’s Ensemble with moderated feedback

The Ethel Woolson Lab is an intensive 29 hour workshop series that incorporates a dramaturg, director and a cast of actors into the development process. This program is designed for plays closer to completion.

After the rigorous process of workshopping your play in the EWL, we suggest you submit to the Unexpected Play Festival, our collaborative effort with Theatrical Outfit to move plays from development into production.
As this flow chart shows, it is possible for work to be developed in MNDW then through the Table Series, on to an Ethel Woolson Lab and presented as part of the Unexpected Play Festival.

It’s possible to follow this structure and go through each program or bounce from one to the next. It all depends on the needs of the piece and development goals set by the playwright!Be a part of our exciting developmental programming by making your donation today.Click Here to Support WTP!If you would prefer to make a donation by check, please mail your check to Working Title Playwrights, 691 John Wesley Dobbs Avenue NE, Suite C, Atlanta, GA 30312.
