Bandcamp is a site where independent musicians and small record labels can sell physical CDs and digital downloads directly to customers. If you buy music, this is a great place to do it. “Wanderlust” and my three previous albums are HERE, and there’s a good chance some of your favorite indie musicians are there, too. The first Friday of each month is “Bandcamp Friday,” when Bandcamp foregoes its cut of sales, so it’s a great time to shop. In fact, I have a special offer for you lower in this email. My social media feed is filled the recent news that Spotify CEO Daniel Ek said “creating content” costs virtually nothing. First, I don’t know any musician who thinks of their music as “content,” and second, Ek couldn’t possibly be more wrong about the cost of recording music.
