Fluence Newsletter: March 2024

Dear Fluence community,It’s not quite technically March yet (it’s a leap year!) but we have a lot of exciting updates to share as spring approaches and wanted to get a jump on things—starting by announcing our new Advanced Certificate in Psychedelic Harm Reduction and Integration, which is now accepting applications for our inaugural spring cohort. We’re also coming up on the deadline to apply for the March PTI and KAP programs this week, and have just launched a new referral program that community members will want to check out.

Read on to find out what’s coming up in March.

Announcing the Advanced Certificate in Psychedelic Harm Reduction and Integration
We’re pleased to announce this week the latest addition to our new certification path, the Advanced Certificate in Psychedelic Harm Reduction and Integration. Fluence founders Ingmar Gorman and Elizabeth Nielson have been pioneers in the PHRI model that has quickly become an industry standard. The 10-week program is designed to train clinicians to support clients right now, before and after psychedelic experiences of all kinds—retreats, community and religious ceremonies, self-directed microdosing, meaningful and challenging recreational experiences, and more. This is a training that clinicians can put to use legally and right away within the scope of their existing practice.

March 1st deadline for PTI and KAP programs, April cohort details announced

The next opportunity to join this program kicks off next week, and we’ve extended the application deadline to this Friday, March 1st, to accommodate a number of last minute requests. (Those interested in the PHRI program mentioned above who have not completed PTI will need to enroll in this cohort.) We have also just announced the details for the April/May cohort of the program, which will be led by Rebecca Kronman, LCSW and Andrew Rose.

March 1st is also the deadline to apply for the Spring cohort of our advanced Certificate in Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy. This 12-week, 40-hour program will be led by Chantelle Thomas, PhD and Candace Oglesby, LCPC, and is designed to ensure clinicians feel adequately prepared and equipped with all the best tools to deliver ketamine-assisted psychotherapy in their practice.

Free March Webinar: Psychotherapeutic Touch in Psychedelic Therapy
Our free webinar series continues on March 22nd with a live conversation between Elizabeth Nielson and Sabrina Santa Clara exploring the intersection of somatic practices and psychedelic-assisted therapy, and exploring how the skillful use of bodily awareness and touch offers a promising avenue for deepening therapeutic outcomes while also opening up concerns about additional risk to patients. As always, if you missed last month’s webinars on IFS or the Therapist in Psilocybin Therapy, the replays are available for free on our learning platform.

Announcing the Fluence referral program
So many of Fluence’s students have joined the community because of colleagues or friends who have been through our trainings and programs previously. We’ve elected to launch a referral program to support this organic growth and to give back to those who are helping facilitate it. If you’re been through one of our trainings already, you’re eligible to join our referral program. It’s a simple process: refer a friend or colleague to our core PTI program. They get to waive the $100 application, and if they’re accepted, you both get a $250 credit towards your continuing learning at Fluence. Learn more and apply to the program now here on our website.
