Writing Contests to ConsiderHappy Friday!

It’s been a very exciting week! Last Saturday, I taught a workshop with Andres Valdez for abc.org about using my techniques for self-empowerment and conquering fear. Sixteen families attended, and these are migrant families who are facing the stress of potentially losing their shelter homes and eagerly looking for apartments. It was wonderful to have the opportunity to help them get centered and focused on solving problems.
Better New Year’s ResolutionsOur first webinar of the year was well-attended and fun! We focused on making from a different mindset, the state of happiness easily attained by using the Self-Acknowledgment Hug and the mental word of the day technique. From this peaceful space, we worked on how to eliminate learned helplessness, which keeps us from trying by doing small fixes in our lives.

I have found that when I tune into that feeling of powerlessness, I find myself doing something small but satisfying, like organizing my silverware drawer or cleaning up papers, which helps me regain my sense of power. Once I have done that, I can find solutions for whatever the big thing is, worrying me. You can see the webinar on the webinar resources page of my website. Not only will you learn something about how to empower yourself, but we will also get practical tips about how to get rid of mice! Try to practice the hug and the mental word of the day cluster three times a day and see how it changes your life.

I was inspired to write the article below after the webinar and it clarifies this powerful Practice! Here’s to your success and peace of mind,
Marilyn

We all face challenges in life, but for many of us, it’s not just the challenges themselves that are difficult—it’s the feeling that we can’t do anything to change them. This sense of powerlessness, often called learned helplessness, is a silent force in our lives, shaped by many factors: the pressures of society, the influence of our parents, and even religious teachings. These forces, combined with a part of our brain that’s designed to protect us from failure, often end up shutting us down instead, leaving us stuck in a mental prison of doubt and despair. But what if we could use…[continue reading]FREE Webinar: Fear Vs. Anxiety
Mark Twain once said, “I’ve had a lot of worries in my life, most of which never happened.”

This is anxiety. Fear, on the other hand, is felt or experienced when a hand touches a hot stove.

All of us at some point have been overwhelmed with worries and fears in our personal lives, relationships, or careers. While our creative minds can sometimes create stories or worst-case scenarios, fear itself isn’t always bad.
This webinar will help you determine the difference between anxiety and fear, as well as what could happen and what needs to happen when you face situations with these powerful emotions.
