Full Festival Passes are now availablefor our ticketed live concerts in NYCJuly 15-23, 2023Hello, Everyone!
I’ll be updating you on all the exciting developments over the next month as we move towards the first day of The Third International Stretto Piano Festival, July 15-23, 2023.
Thank you for reading the announcements and for staying abreast of our work.
There is something here for every piano music lover – from JS Bach to Brazilian Jazz to Joni Mitchell to Chopin, Liszt, Rachmaninoff, and David Amram, including shows by kids and teens and a Music Lovers high-level amateur and pro players event. All ages are included and we are expanding the genres of music we present.
Join us for the entire week to enjoy great concerts and learn about the power and life-changing benefits of Stretto pianos
These pianos have keys that are narrower than conventional piano keys. Instead of a 6.5-octave reach, Stretto pianos’ octaves span 6.0 inches,5.5 inches, and closely similar dimensions such as my Model C Steinway grand with 5.9-inch octave keys.
The experience of playing Stretto piano keys is amazing.
We are very grateful to all of you who are supporting Stretto Piano Concerts and the Festival with your generous donations and ticket purchases.

Christopher O’Riley performs his “Virtually-Tempered Clavier” before his Kennedy Center performance this Fall
Engelman Recital Hall, New York, NY, USA
Christopher O’Riley‘s Virtually-Tempered Clavier opens a new world of interpretation of JS Bach’s Well-Tempered Clavier, celebrating the masterwork’s 300th anniversary.
The 7.30 pm performance will be preceded by a talk by O’Riley, interviewed by Hannah Reimann, the Stretto Piano Festival’s Creator and Artistic Director at 6.30 pm.
The ticket link will be updated shortly to include this time indication. Join us early on to understand how O’Riley honors this known Baroque music, introducing 21st-century ideas with stylistic knowledge and innovation.
Pianist, arranger, collaborative artist, composer, educator, and media personality Christopher O’Riley follows his passions into a fractal array of innovative directions, ever striving for the truest and deepest human connection, through performance and collaboration.
It is with O’Riley’s dedication to the learning abilities, personalities, and imaginations of artists that he comes to his latest endeavor – a home-recorded traversal of J.S. Bach’s The Well-Tempered Clavier. O’Riley has produced an online archive of video lectures entitled “Everything We Need to Know About Playing the Piano We Learn From The Well-Tempered Clavier,” a series illuminating a new perspective on each Prelude and Fugue, expanding on the ways the paucity of Bach’s notation encourages us to engage creatively and imaginatively.
