Happy New Year 2021!!! I hope you are all well and surviving these crazy times. Thankfully our democracy seems to have dodged a bullet. We hope those who were responsible for the domestic terrorism which occurred recently will be brought to justice.

The amazing true story of Manhattan Plaza and how it was created as affordable housing for people in the NYC theatre industry, thanks to a historic partnership between the public and private sectors. Narrated by Chazz Palminteri, it features Larry David, Alicia Keys, Angela Landsbury, Samuel Jackson, Terrence Howard, Donald Faison, Giancarlo Esposito, Estelle Parsons and many others. Here is the press kit for the film: https://miracleon42ndstreet.org/media-press-kit/
The film describes how it is possible to build affordable housing for NYC artists even during a recession. We hope to use it as a thought starter for our Still New York campaign.
Please email us if you are interested in participating or know any potential co-sponsors dealing with Social Justice or Empowerment. Our first proposed “House” using turnaround tourist hotels is Empowerment House.
