Because I know you  love and miss Broadway as much as I do, there is a tax-deductible fundraising challenge to the end of the month for all those incredible craftsmen shops that build and provide the lush, amazing costumes you see in the theater, TV and film. Broadway shows have been cancelled until Jan, 2021 at the earliest though the industry does not foresee starting up again until summer of 2021.  Without the work, Costume Industry Coalition member shops are languishing,
all their workers have been laid off and some companies have already had to closed permanently.  Please either contribute even a little bit or if you can’t ( and they understand!) please help by publicizing this to friends. The photo below is of the film “West Side Story”, all of which was built by CIC member companies.
The majority of the entertainment industry remains closed. Federal relief has stalled. The @CostumeIndustryCoalition (CIC)’s Members are without sustainable income for the foreseeable future, as orders have been cancelled or delayed indefinitely. Our businesses and the future of #NYCCostumeIndustry is in jeopardy.
Please donate, if you can, and share with friends and family. Link for the CIC’s Donate page: There you can learn more about this enormous fundraising effort, keep track of our progress and news, and make a donation if you’re able. #SaveTheCostumeIndustry
.Thanks, Helen
