Educators in NYC Schools Get to Learn Archery for Free! – Summer dates: July 13, 20, 27; Aug 3, 10, 17
This summer, Hidden Gems Archery is introducing educators to their archery program and they would love your ideas and suggestions for our new archery workbook. Please pick a date and time that works for you.
Spots are filling up fast for our summer chess camp! Our camp is led by Brooklyn Friends School Chess Director Gary Ryan and Premier Chess CEO National Master Evan Rabin, who collectively over 30 years teaching experience!
The camp will have an 8:1 student-teacher ratio and will include chess lessons, supervised free play, tournament games, weekly chess field trip, healthy snacks and pizza lunch, and ice cream Fridays. The camp costs $500 per week or $1,600 for all 4-weeks, a $400 savings! The camp takes place the following weeks:
Week 1 : Jul 29- Aug 2
Week 2: Aug 5-9
Week 3: Aug 12-16
Week 4: Aug 19-23
Premier Chess is looking forward to hosting its 16th tournament at Asiam Thai Cuisine on July 29!
This month we will have a special 5 round Swiss G/10 tournament to mix it up.
Entry will be $10, which will be paid in cash at the door, and 100% of entry fees will go towards prizes. USCF ratings will be used to determine prizes but tournament is unrated. We will also use USCF rules.
The tournament is capped at 12 players so secure your spot ASAP!
Check-in will be at 7:30 PM and tournament will begin promptly at 7:45 PM. We need to be out of restaurant by 10:00 PM.
CEO Evan Rabin National Master Evan Rabin is on his way to Moshi, Tanzania right now in conjunction with Make a Difference Now!He will be teaching kids and teachers, so that teachers may teach other kids in the future in this African nation. It’s not too late to donate and we are raising money to help with education, food, and housing for the youth in Tanzania that the program supports. All the funds will be going directly to support the kids.
