Happy Friday!

My birthday was on Monday, and it’s been a week full of gifts!

-The first meeting of The Scripting Room Webinar was fun, and we all got a lot out of it. You can find out more about my Scripting technique here. The big takeaway is that you have to find a way to connect to your inner creative space, and the Scripting process takes you there instantly.

-One of my students took a hiatus from writing and came back with a super new outline that will give the script the perfect structure to succeed!

-In my rewriting class, each of the six students has gotten enough work done to execute an effective second draft.

-I had a huge breakthrough as I’m completing the final revision of my novel, The Naked Tango. A slight reorganization resulted in a vastly better flow. I moved the major events in the story to occur earlier in the story, thus creating the possibility of adding a plot twist near the end that makes even me want to find out what happens!

-I had a huge breakthrough in my dancing, and I’m having so much fun!

-My stray cat, Spooky, allowed me to scratch his ears! I was resigned to having a cat I would never pat. He’s not aware of purring, which tells you something about the unhappiness of his previous circumstances, but the photo below illustrates that he’s enjoying life.

There’s more, but I don’t want to bore you.

The next Scripting Room Webinar is coming up on February 16th. Send your story questions if you want help. Please add Scripting to your daily routine if you want to participate in the webinar. My intention is to build a community of writers who create consistently within the creative space of the mind, where all of a writer’s originality hides.

Many students asked if I would give a class that teaches how to write a script quickly using my trademarked writing system. The class has a couple of openings and begins on March 8th. Sessions will be held on Tuesdays, 6:30-8:30 pm EST, through April 26th. Visit the site here to sign up and please email me with any questions.
