Bio: Zenda Snyder is a creative force behind prominent retailers and manufacturers, defining their place in the market and merchandising their products and brands to maximize market share. Her expertise includes visual merchandising, store planning, fixture design, and marketing strategy. Zendas’ accomplished career ranges from major specialty chains to department stores and new business start-ups. She is the owner of Zenda Snyder LLC. Zenda consults with The Grayson Company (a full service retail consultancy), DASH design, and several retailers such as Kenneth Cole, Nautica, and Macys serving their needs such as design and manufacturing for consumer environments. Zenda also has worked as a consultant with companies such as Kathy Van Zeeland, Ricky’s of Canada, Safilo, and Fleetwood. At Fleetwood, Zenda headed up the re-creation of their brand image which involved designing new fixture lines, designing a new catalog, web site, advertising, and logo (which doubled their sales.) She is the founder of George, a custom retail fixture and design company that has built fixtures for Solstice, Banana Republic, Saks Fifth Avenue, Lord and Taylor, Macys, and many other retailers. Snyder is also the co-founder of Look, an innovative fixturing company offering contemporary retail store fixtures for clients such as Saks Fifth Avenue, Burdines, Macys, and Dayton Hudson. Zenda has been instrumental in conceptualizing this company’s strategic image and marketing direction. As Vice President of Fitch, a multidisciplinary design firm, Zenda directed a team to maximize brand identity by using creative design solutions for retailers and manufacturers such as London Fog, Reebok, Whistler, and JBL. Zenda was the director of Visual Merchandising for 900 stores for Lerner, New York, a division of The Limited Inc. and was instrumental in all aspects of visual merchandising, store planning, and brand identity. Additionally as the conceptual designer for Burdines, she created promotional shop concepts and presentation strategies for the entire chain.
