Bio: With over three decades of experience in all facets of production, Tony Adler has gained a solid reputation amongst the production community. His work as 1st AD on the Golden Globe and Oscar winning feature “American Beauty” is one of many high profile projects to his credit. Commencing his career as a PA on Milos Foreman’s “Ragtime,” Tony’s positive attitude and strong work ethic allowed him to become 2nd AD on a number of productions before he found his niche as a highly respected 1st AD and producer. Although most of Tony’s credits can be attributed to his work as an assistant director (2nd AD, 1984 – 1990; 1st AD, 1991 – present), he has also worked as a location manager, unit production manager and line producer. Also serving as a consultant on budgeting and scheduling for 20th Century Fox, Regency Pictures, Rainstorm Entertainment, Emerald Pictures, & Redtie Films. Tony became a partner in a video and commercial Production company called Stage Presence and served as its production chief from 1988-1994. Tony has worked on a number of large-scale projects across the world. Ports of call include Portugal, Malta, Rome, New Zealand, Canada, Mexico, England and the Baja peninsula on the feature film, “The Death & Life Of Bobby Z.” Tony has also worked all over the United States and is familiar with all of the major tax incentive states. Currently consulting with Rainstorm Entertainment on several projects, Tony will bring Paul Mazursky’s, “An Honest Man,” into production and is preparing an action comedy, “3 Days in Vegas” for Redtie films. Tony has taught film production at the Los Angeles Film School since 2010. He hopes to maintain teaching and working with young filmmakers in the future as well as continuing his career as an assistant director and producer.
