Bio: Ron Brent is a consultant assisting non-profits to achieve their goals in this challenging economic environment. Ron is a visionary, bringing an entrepreneurial spirit to his work. He has extensive experience working with non-profit organizations (as well as ‘for profits’) and is known for his ability to skillfully identify solutions to complex problems. His expertise covers the ground of fund-raising, leadership, team building and program implementation. He has successfully worked in the field as well as positions of Middle and Executive Management. During a ten year period spanning the 80′s and 90′s, Ron was instrumental in launching and managing The PRASAD Project*, a rural development initiative in Maharashtra, India. For the first two years he traveled from village to village on a daily basis, gaining knowledge of the culture and assessing the needs of local villagers. Over these ten years a wide range of programs were developed and implemented. After returning to the U.S. Ron continued to serve for another 10 years on The PRASAD Project’s Global Board of Directors. Since 2003 he’s been President of the Board of Trustees for the Children’s Dental Health Program (CDHP), an organization delivering dental care to underserved children in rural upstate New York. In addition, Ron worked as Associate Producer for a series of documentary films shot on location in India, Nepal, Tibet, Turkey, Egypt, and Israel. Ron is currently developing a unique social media project.
