
Bio: - Director, Writer, Producer
Ramin Niami is a writer, director and producer of feature films and documentaries living and
working in the U.S. Ramin wrote, produced and directed the theatrical feature films Somewhere in
the City (U.S. theatrical: Artistic License/HBO), Paris (Showtime/Warner Brothers Home Video),
and Shirin in Love (U.S. Theatrical: AMC Independent/ Vision Films). His feature films have been
shown in many international film festivals and released theatrically and on platforms including
HBO, Cinemax, TMC, and Showtime. Ramin’s documentary films include the award winning
feature documentary, Babe’s and Ricky’s Inn.
Ramin produced the theatrical dramatic feature film Magic Lantern written and directed by Amir
Naderi, starring Monk Serrell-Freed, Sophie Lane Curtis, Robert Beltran and Jacqueline Bisset and
shot in Los Angeles, which premiered in the Venice International Film Festival in September 2018.
Ramin is currently producing the feature documentary The Shell which is shot in the US, Mexico,
Philippines and Belgium. He is also the executive producer of psychological thriller The Box by first
time director Sasha Sibley. Ramin is currently is in post-production on Eye Without A Face, a
psychological thriller/horror film, on which he was the writer, director, and producer.
