Bio: Rachel Alves is a data-driven Digital Strategist and Analyst with over five years’ experience working on leading entertainment brands. After beginning her career in the UK as an analyst in the energy and aerospace sectors, Rachel joined Ubisoft as a Digital Marketing Manager on the Just Dance video game franchise which has now reached over 58MM copies sold. At Ubisoft San Francisco, Rachel has managed titles and programs on both core and casual AAA titles including For Honor, Tom Clancy’s The Division, the Just Dance games, Far Cry 4, Child of Light, Splinter Cell Blacklist and more. She graduated from University of St Andrews with a degree in Sustainable Development, and won the NPower Future Leaders challenge in 2011, challenging students to run environmental projects in their communities. Her dissertation was focused on using technology to promote sustainable behaviors, which propelled her to start her career in the Bay Area. As Digital Strategist, Rachel is focused on innovation in the online space. She stays immersed in digital trends and emerging channels, and translates data into actionable insights. While working on music and dance games, Rachel has run digital campaigns for several celebrity charity programs including the Just Dance Challenge for the Special Olympics, re-inventing NFL player’s endzone dances for charity, as well as partnering with VH1’s Save the Music and Stomp Out Bullying. Rachel lives in San Francisco, where she loves spending time climbing up rock walls and practicing nature and landscape photography.
