Bio: Peter Occhiogrosso has over 30 years’ experience as an author, coauthor, writing teacher and and editor. He coauthors with a wide variety of public figures, spiritual and self-help teachers, physicians, academics, and prominent thinkers—highly accomplished people who want to publish a book but don’t have the requisite writing experience or publishing know-how. Over the years, Peter has written two books with talk show host Larry King and coauthored the autobiographies of rock icon Frank Zappa (“The Real Frank Zappa Book”) and cabaret singer Michael Feinstein. And he has coauthored or assisted a number of writers with books in the spiritual field, including Caroline Myss’s “Why People Don’t Heal and How They Can” and “Sacred Contracts” (Harmony); and Ron Roth PhD, with whom he coauthored a series of books on prayer and healing for Hay House. He also helped to write the debut book by highly regarded psychotherapist Mel Schwartz applying Quantum Physics to everyday life and relationships, entitled “The Possibility Principle” (Sounds True). At the same time as coauthoring, Peter has written several books of his own about the varieties of American spiritual experience, including “Once A Catholic” (Houghton Mifflin/Ballantine) and “Through the Labyrinth” (Penguin). More recently, he completely revised and rewrote the text of a classic book on back health by Vijay Vad, MD, a leading sports medicine expert at New York’s renowned Hospital for Special Surgery, entitled “Back Rx” (Penguin/Avery, 2019). And he has self-published a Kindle eBook based on his wide-ranging knowledge of world religions and recent developments in spirituality, titled “Circles of Belief: A Guide to the World’s Spiritual Traditions and Beyond” (Kindle, 2019). Three of the books Peter coauthored have become New York Times Best Sellers Peter offers his services to clients interested in consultation on existing manuscripts for publication, as well as helping to write and edit complete book manuscripts, and the all-important nonfiction book proposal for submission to agents and publishers.
