Bio: Nicole Liao is currently a third year student at the University of Southern California, majoring in International Relations with a minor in Marketing. Her short-term career objectives currently include: obtaining a Bachelor in International Relations degree, and starting a career in international affairs, preferably in foreign service or government agencies, with a prestigious firm. In the long-term, she looks to purse a MBA degree while continuing to develop a successful career in international affairs. Nicole feels that her education from the University of Southern California has provided her with the knowledge and competency to succeed in any higher-level education. Furthermore, she believes she has matured and strengthened many personal values such as her integrity, professionalism, and leadership through her practical internships. During the internship at Mode Creation Munich (MCM) Worldwide in Shanghai in 2010, Nicole conducted market research of luxury products and identified market segment to manage marketing strategies, financial statement and coordinated with marketing professionals to develop business plan to launch a new product line. She also worked at POP Design Inc. in Shanghai in 2009, where she designed marketing plans for client-interface ads by analysis of geographic scope in local market and conducted advertising tutorials for various software programs to maximize the efficiency of sharing information and communication through executives and international clients. Most notably in her school years, her position as a member of Alpha Gamma Sigma Honor Society is an achievement where she collaborated with organizations for fundraising efforts by conducting community service and participated in weekly meeting to discuss and organize the cultural awareness events. Nicole is ready to apply all of her experiences and education as an undergraduate student towards a career in international affairs.
