Bio: Lee E. Miller is the co-founder of 3 Step Networks, a social media solution, managing Director of and the Career Columnist for the NJ Star Ledger. A graduate of Harvard Law, he works with organizations and individuals to more effectively lead and influence others in person and virtually. He advises, trains and coaches on leadership, cross cultural influencing, sales, negotiating, customer service and recruiting and is also a career coach. Applying research on influencing to social media, he joined forces with Barbara Jackson to create 3 Step Networks, which provides organizations with an inexpensive professional/social network that enables them to extend their brand for the benefit of members. He is an Adjunct Professor at Columbia and at the Seton Hall University School of Management where he is a five-time recipient of the Award for Teaching Excellence. Lee is the author of UP: Influence Power and the U Perspective- The Art of Getting What You Want, Get More Money On Your Next Job… In Any Economy and the co-author of A Woman’s Guide To Successful Negotiating. Previously he was the Senior VP of HR at TV Guide, USA Networks and Barney’s NY Inc., a VP of Labor and Employee Relations at R.H. Macy & Co. Inc. and a partner and co-chair of the employment and labor group of one of the largest law firms in NJ. Lee is the former Chair of the International Association of Corporate and Professional Recruiters, the NY Chapter American Corporate Counsel’s Employment Law Section and Secretary to the Union County Motion Picture Advisory Board. He has served on the Board of the Washington State Bar Association Credit Union. He is a Director of The American Repertory Ballet Company and an advisor to, and an Honorary Director of, the Tianjin Society (Singapore).
