Bio: A sociologist, speaker, workshop leader, and coach, Jan’s areas of expertise include business topics — time management, business protocol, international business, business writing, business relationships—, relationship issues — friendship, romantic relationships — and books — how to write a book from scratch, finding an agent, getting published by a traditional publisher or self-publishing, foreign rights, and book promotion. Dr. Yager has written over 31 books in 28 languages. Dr. Yager’s academic credentials include a Ph.D. in sociology from The City University of NY with a pre-doctoral fellowship in medical sociology with the National Science Foundation, a year of graduate work in art therapy at Hahnemann Medical College, as well as an M.A. in criminal justice from Goddard College Graduate Program. She taught at several colleges and universities including The New School, Temple University, the NY Institute of Technology, St. John’s University, Penn State, and the University of Connecticut.
