Bio: Erik is currently Deputy COO for Mercer Partners a Long/Short Global Equity Hedge Fund located in lower Manhattan. He oversees day to day operations, works with investors, and is in charge of raising capital for Mercer Partners. When he is not in work Erik is working to found the New York State Education Initiative his own advocacy group that works to promote education programs for low income high achieving high schools students to better understand their opportunities post High School in New York State. His background includes running the field operations for a congressional race in the 23rd Congressional District, Campaign Manager of a WNY County Executive race, and Legislative Intern for Sen. Schumer’s Capital Hill office in Washington DC. At the age of 20, Erik had the opportunity to serve as one of the youngest national Voting Delegate in the 2012 National Democratic Convention in Charlotte. Erik is a New York City native having grown up in Lower Manhattan for his whole live. He is an avid Mets fan and played college Rugby. Erik is a 2013 graduate in Political Science at the State University of New York at Fredonia in Western New York.
