Bio: Dakota was raised on outer Cape Cod by her phenomenal single mom and later moved to New Haven, Connecticut, where she attended Wilbur Cross High School and the Educational Center for the Arts as a poetry/prose student. Dakota earned her B.A. at Vassar College and was awarded the Molly Thatcher Kazan Prize for excellence in Dramatic Studies upon graduating. Dakota studied Meisner with Maggie Flanigan in New York and completed the studio's two-year professional actors training program. She then moved to Boston, where she launched a successful regional theatre and commercial career, before moving to Los Angeles. There, she continued her training at Margie Haber Studio, Seydways Acting Studios, Lesly Kahn & Co, Groundlings, and UCB while working as a live-in personal assistant to Gena Rowlands for five years. She has appeared in a number of features, most recently playing the title role in the supernatural thriller The Vision of Sonia Greene. Dakota now lives in Long Island with her fiancé and their marvelous cat. She has been a proud volunteer with Camp AmeriKids since 2012, as both a cabin counselor and a member of the programming staff. Dakota loves spending time with children and animals and enjoys exploring national parks and other areas of natural beauty.
