Bio: Catherine Lofton-Fraser is a licensed acupuncturist in Manhattan. She holds a Masters degree of Science in Acupuncture from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine (PCOM) in New York City. Catherine kept one foot in the East and one foot in the West in regards to her education at PCOM, completing a four-year program that emphasized traditional style Chinese acupuncture, Chinese medicine theory, bodywork (tui -na and shiatsu), along with anatomy and physiology, nutrition and western disease diagnosis. Catherine treated over 300 patients as an intern at the PCOM clinic and participated in many outreach programs while at PCOM. She continues a life- long endeavor to embrace as many approaches to healing as possible; participating in various modality workshops to keep growing as a practitioner. Catherine believes in the powerful healing dynamic between patient and practitioner and the body’s innate ability to move towards balance. She uses a blend of traditional Chinese acupuncture and Korean style acupuncture called Sujok techniques to gently bring patients into harmony within their body, mind and spirit.
