
Bio: A career Music Educator within the NYC Public School System, Alan Zwirn earned the position of Director of the Brooklyn All– Borough Chorus, a part of the city – wide “Salute To Music Program”. His musical school groups (performing Show Choirs long before the “Glee” format became popular) “toured” each spring, performing at choral venues in cities ranging from London and Paris, to Detroit, Toronto, Chicago, Cleveland, Orlando, Philadelphia, Washington, DC., and Los Angeles. Over the years, these student performers also appeared in two professional Broadway Musicals in the role of “Children’s Choir” (Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, A Christmas Carol) as well as at numerous venues within the five Boroughs including City Hall, Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Radio City, and the three major professional sports venues. Mr. Zwirn has enjoyed the opportunity to teach music to young students, preparing them for specialized Middle and High School programs, as well as training aspiring teachers at the Undergraduate and Post – Graduate levels. He is currently working with Long Island University as a mentor in the Teaching Fellows Program. of both children’s and contemporary popular songs.
