Finally on November 19 and 20, we’ve got a class, Grant Writing Workshop for Creatives, which is back by popular demand and selling quickly. Keep an eye out for our first Direct Access event since IFP Week at the Media Center, which will be announced shortly.

WE Master Money: Credit is a series of credit workshops that are designed to help women entrepreneurs gain knowledge about the construction of credit as a basis for improving personal finances and access to capital for their business.
For the second iteration of their How We Move series, subtitled Reverence, Revelation, and Rapture, The Luminal Theater’s Jacqui Brown has curated five short films that eloquently capture Black folk navigating liminality. For this installation, liminality is a place of disorientation and ambiguity, a threshold between the sacred and the secular, in which creativity and heightened existence are incubated. So often, black movement is conflated with athleticism or rhythm. However, this installation presents the core capability of our movement, which comes from a place charged by terror and glory, rage and respite, legacy and boundless grace. These films reveal, through various experimental techniques, the spaciousness, quiet, rhythm, and colors of our liminal spaces. The opening is on Thursday, November 7th and will run throughout the month.

A dedicated desk. Conference rooms. Post-production facilities. Audio recording capabilities. An Academy-standard screening room. Access to IFP Membership Perks.

Those are just a few of the things you get working out of the Made in NY Media Center by IFP. But the most important benefit you’ll receive? Community. A community of others just like you, creative individuals who want to kick their projects and businesses into high gear, and we’re here to help. Get expert guidance and then take advantage of our state-of-the-art theatre all in one space.
