Special Event: Thursday, August 15 at Janam Tea

Janam Tea graciously offered to allow 10 children to come for a complimentary tea lesson tomorrow in the their location in the Lower East Side tomorrow, Thursday, August 15 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM. Premier Chess will bring chess sets so participants can play and learn a little! Last Two Weeks of Summer Camp, New Fall Classes in the Tri-State Area, and Upcoming Tournaments in New York City

Chess Classes at the Stamford JCC

Premier Chess is excited to offer a chess class at Stamford JCC for all students K-6 in the fall. We will focus on opening strategy, middle-game themes, end-game strategy and tournament preparation. Tournament participation is not required to be in Premier Chess Club, but it is highly encouraged.

We are offering the following two sessions for your convenience.

Session A
W¬†¬†Sundays, 9:30 ‚Äď 10:30 a.m.
Sept. 8 ‚Äď Oct. 27
Member $168 / Community $200 (8 sessions)

Session B
W¬†¬†Sundays, 9:30 ‚Äď 10:30 a.m.
Nov. 3 ‚Äď Dec. 22 (No class Dec. 1)
Member $147 / Community $175 (7 sessions)

It’s not too late to join us for chess camp at Brooklyn Friends school. We’ve received amazing feedback on the program so far and your child can sign up for one week, two weeks, or even a daily pass!

Week 3: Aug 12-16
Week 4: Aug 19-23
9:00 AM- 3:00 PM 

Camp led by Brooklyn Friends School Chess Director Gary Ryan and Premier Chess CEO National Master Evan Rabin, who collectively over 30 years teaching experience

Camp has an 8-1 student-teacher ratio and includes chess lessons, supervised free play, tournament games , weekly chess field trip, healthy snacks and pizza lunch, and ice cream Friday!

The cost is $500 per week or $125 for a day pass

17th Asiam Tournament!

Premier Chess is looking forward to hosting its 17th tournament at Asiam Thai Cuisine on Monday, August 26.

Check-in will be at 7:30 PM and tournament will begin promptly at 7:45 PM. We need to be out of restaurant by 10:00 PM.

Tournament will be round-robin. Time control is G/5.

Please note- arrive early you’d like to eat dinner at your leisure. Once 7:45 hits, you need to play all of your games without food breaks.

Tournament is capped at 12 players so email our CEO Evan Rabin at evan@premierchess.com with your name and rating ASAP to reserve your spot or ask any questions.

Entry will be $10, which will be paid in cash at the door, and 100% of entry fees will go towards prizes. USCF ratings will be used to determine prizes but tournament is unrated.

Special Blitz Tournament with Puppies…Yes, Puppies!

Premier Chess is looking forward to hosting a 7 round G/5 blitz tournament at Boris and Horton, New York’s first dog cafe!!

If you have a puppy, bring him or her! If not, come play blitz and play with all the puppies around you!

Check-in will be at 5:45 PM and tournament will begin promptly at 6:00 PM. All games need to end before place closes at 8.

Tournament is capped at 14 players so email our CEO Evan Rabin at evan@premierchess.com with your name and rating ASAP to reserve your spot or ask any questions.

Entry will be $10, which will be paid in cash at the door, and 100% of entry fees will go towards prizes. USCF ratings will be used to determine prizes but tournament is unrated. We will also use USCF rules.
