This Sunday: Premier Chess Grand Prix Tournament #4 with Top Level Chess

What: USCF Membership Required (20$ to get one on site)
Pre-Register for $50 or Register On-Site for $65

We are glad to be partnered with Top Level Chess and encourage you to be a part of this association, by¬†signing up your children or students at our¬†upcoming tournament at the Grace Church High School on Sunday January 12.We will also be doing a¬†silent auction for Metro World Child and you can¬†email Premier Chess CEO, Evan Rabin, if you’d like to donate any items or services to benefit this amazing charity.

Lastly, registration is also open for our 5th Grand Prix Tournament taking place on Sunday, January 25 at The Town School on the Upper East Side.

Both tournaments can be great practice for the New York City Championships on February 1-2!

After losing a chess game, a beginner will often ask ‚ÄúWhere did I go wrong?‚ÄĚ The truth is most often a player will not lose a game because of 1 bad move. While it is true one major blunder can ruin a game, generally speaking a better player wins because he makes better moves to than his opponent on the whole.

New Blog Post: Grand Prix Results After Three Tournaments
We have completed 3 out 10 of our Premier Chess and Top Level Chess Grand Prix tournaments with #4 happening this Sunday!

The big question is will anyone catch up with the leader Riley Thompson, a student of my alma-mater Churchill. If anyone can likely do it, it is Aarav Roy, the Jersey City Global Charter School student, who won last year’s Grand Prix.
