Bio: Dr. Donnica Moore is highly regarded as a women's health expert and advocate, a physician educator, and a media commentator. She is President of Sapphire Women’s Health Group LLC, a multimedia women’s health education, communications, and consulting firm. She also is the host of the popular podcast, “In The Ladies’ Room with Dr. Donnica” with listeners in 34 countries. She is best known as “Dr. Donnica”, most well recognized for her appearances in more than 850 television interviews on a wide variety of health topics. She has been a frequent guest on ABC’s “Good Morning America”, NBC’s “The Today Show”, and “The Dr. Oz Show”, for which she is also a member of the Medical Advisory Board. Dr. Donnica was the women’s health contributor for NBC’s Later Today, appearing weekly from 1999-2000. She has also been a frequent guest on the “Weekend Today Show”, “The Oprah Winfrey Show”, “The View”, “Good Morning America Health, “The Rachel Ray Show”, “The Steve Harvey Show”, “E Entertainment Specials”, and many others. As a women’s health advocate, Dr. Donnica has represented a wide variety of causes, diseases, patient advocacy groups, and corporate initiatives designed to raise awareness about medical issues. She is the Editor-in-Chief of the comprehensive book Women’s Health for Life (DK Publishing; 2009) and was the monthly “Doctor on Call” columnist for First for Women magazine (circ. 1 million) from 2002--2010. Dr. Moore has received more than 30 awards for her achievements in medicine and business, including the Women in Government Presidential Leadership Award for her efforts to prevent cervical cancer and the American Medical Women’s Association “Calcium Nutrition Education Award”. Her involvement in organized medicine includes having been a member of the Boards of Directors of the Society for Women's Health Research, the American Medical Women’s Association, the Friends of the National Institute of Nursing Research, and Research!America. She has also been a member of the editorial boards for the Journal of Women’s Health and The Journal of the American Medical Women’s Association. A popular speaker for both medical and consumer audiences on topics related to women's health, drug development, balancing work and family, and others, Dr. Donnica is well known for her engaging and entertaining style which she refers to as "medicine lite": using humor as the spoonful of sugar that helps the medicine go down. She has addressed numerous women's fairs, employee groups, consumer, professional associations, and medical organizations. Dr. Moore is a cum laude graduate of Princeton University. She earned her medical degree from the State University of New York School of Medicine at Buffalo and undertook residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Temple University followed by a year of training in family medicine at Memorial Hospital of Burlington County, NJ. She is the mother of two college graduates.
