Tres started his career over ten years ago as an MTV award-winning writer/producer for “Creative Excellence.” At VH1, he was responsible for crafting strategic brand messages for the Big Six Studios' film and TV promotions, generating millions in revenue. As a creative strategist, he has provided strategic planning and brand messaging for a diverse range of major global brands. His client have included: Absolut Vodka, Credit Suisse, Broadridge Financial, The New York Choral Society, The United States Postal Service and clients within healthcare. In his alternate life, Tres is an accomplished screenwriter. He has developed scripted and non-scripted projects for HBO, VH1 and SHOWTIME. At VH1 Classic, Tres was handpicked by its vice president to develop original programming to build the network’s new brand positioning. Recently, Stanley Crouch, America's preeminent writer and co-founder of Jazz At Lincoln Center recruited Tres to develop the four-hour mini-series adaptation of his book “Kansas City Lightning: The Rise And Times Of Charlie Parker” for HBO.
