Ramfis Myrthil is a producer, actor, writer and founding partner of Beast of the East Productions. His mission is to bring the world of film and media closer to an East Coast ethic through narrative feature films that reflect the deepest passion, integrity and honor. He has built up an arsenal of skills and knowledge working in the film, television and other industries on a wide variety of projects. He is also active in a number of community organizations. In 2013 Ramfis produced the short Hurricane Sandy documentary “Powerless”, a highly personal project which is tied in to a campaign to help hurricane relief in Long Beach NY. The documentary earned a special Proclamation from the city of Long Beach. He produced a music video for the song “Any Other Way” by the legendary rock group The Zombies, now in post-production. He is Co-producing the feature film “The Teacher,” currently in production. His short film “Love and The Small Print” premiered at the 2012 Cannes Film festival and was picked up by Shorts International for worldwide distribution. He produced a pilot for the innovative television project “What’s Cooking in Real Estate.” Ramfis has a BA from Queens College in Interdisciplinary studies; Economics and Drama, and trained at Jason Bennett’s Acting School in New York City. He is a member of the Mythic Bridge organization, a non- profit bringing filmmaking education to underserved youth. Ramfis also sits on the music board and young advisors committee of the I Can Still Do That Foundation, a non-profit seeking to help the American worker survive and thrive in difficult economic times.
