Rachael is a young actress currently perfecting her craft at Marymount Manhattan College. She has been pursuing a career in theatre since she was in fourth grade, and hasn't stopped since. She's played roles such as Little Red Riding Hood in Into the Woods, Hedy LaRue in How To Succeed, Rhoda in The Bad Seed, and Mrs. Lovett in Sweeney Todd. Several of her performances earned her Hershey Theatre Apollo Awards, a local Tony-like awards program for Central Pennsylvania. She received 6 nominations, and 5 Apollos, making her the current recipient of the most Apollos ever. After winning an award for Mrs. Lovett, Rachael began eligible to participate in the National High School Musical Theatre Awards, also known as the Jimmy Awards. NHSMTA chooses around 50 students nationwide to compete and perform on a Broadway stage, the Minskoff, all while preparing them with an intensive week of dance and vocal training. Currently, she takes lessons from Jenn Colella and studies at her college. Her love of theatre has lead her to teach in addition to study. Over the past five years, she has been a part of 10+ kids productions, including Hairspray Jr., Shrek Jr., and 101 Dalmatians Kids. For these productions, she has directed, choreographed, counseled, and assisted in set/costumes, as well as do makeup. Rachael enjoys doing theatre makeup, and is currently studying to improve her talents with Jay Pearlman.
