Overview Nicole Sotto Wirtz is a freelance entertainment attorney assisting lawyers nationwide, and is licensed to practice in the state of New York and New Jersey. She is the founder and principal attorney of Sotto Wirtz Law, a freelance entertainment law practice solely devoted to working with other attorneys who serve the entertainment, film, television, music, fashion and new media industries. Law School / Legal Experience While completing her Juris Doctorate at the University of Connecticut School of Law, Nicole served as Co-President of the Arts, Entertainment, & Sports Law Society, and closely worked with leading entertainment attorneys from private law firms, talent agencies, ESPN, the NBA, and the NFL. Prior to law school, Nicole gained first-hand experience with corporate law as a M&A paralegal for Latham and Watkins LLP and during her in-house counsel internship for Schering-Plough Corporation. Additionally, Nicole has enjoyed the honor of working under New York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo in the Connecticut Attorney General’s Office. Following graduation from law school, Nicole has worked on a project basis at boutique entertainment firms Bienstock & Michael, P.C., primarily working on their transactional and intellectual property needs, and The Javdan Firm, PLLC, where she handled transactional matters for clients in the entertainment industry. Background in the Arts Nicole’s entertainment experience spans over more than 14 years, and includes her studies at The Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute. Previously, Nicole worked for 13 years as a commercial print model, and has signed with four modeling and talent agencies in New York and New Jersey. Additionally, her Miss New York America’s National Teenager 2001 title earned her a college scholarship. Nicole’s sports experience includes 10 years of training with olympic-level coaches, and being awarded the United States Figure Skating Association (USFSA) Gold Medal.
