Matthew was born and raised in Augusta, GA. He played Division I soccer at Mercer University where he earned a degree in Industrial Engineering. Early career success was found at Frito Lay, where he implemented multiple quality process improvement programs in the world’s largest snack food manufacturing facility. Other process improvement experience has included the utilization of advanced data analysis to study multiple Piedmont Heart Institute practices and development of a consolidation strategy. Matthew has since transitioned into a project and cost management role at one of the largest engineering consulting companies in the world, AMEC. Leadership roles at AMEC have included serving as the Southeast Region’s Sustainability Coordinator, Co-Founder of the Young Emerging Professional’s group, and Lead Project Controls Engineer on two of the region’s largest projects. Experience has included resource & labor management, timeline & contract management, risk mitigation strategies, and advanced data analysis. Matthew’s interests include business strategy, analytics, organizational management and sustainability. He is currently pursuing a Masters in Business Administration from Emory’s Goizueta Business School.
