Mara Schwartz is a junior at Barnard College majoring in Philosophy and minoring in Psychology and Classics. A Philadelphia native but a New Yorker at heart, she has always succeeded in fast-paced environments while radiating a lively personality. From being a top salesperson and stylist at Nordstrom to holding multiple administrative positions, Mara has proved to be a bubbly, approachable, outgoing employee who is independent, motivated and comfortable multi-tasking and taking direction. As a member of many campus organizations at Columbia University, she has consistently shown her ability to implement new organizational systems, plan and execute events, and work effectively as part of a team. Her most current endeavor has been planning the programming and PR campaign for Columbia University’s first Greek Week for over 1500 undergraduates. She is also responsible for the planning and training of over 1000 PanHellenic women during Columbia’s annual Spring Formal Recruitment. Mara’s combination of work experience and rigorous scholarship makes her a perfect candidate for future jobs that encourage creative, innovative, or analytical thinking. Her fearlessness and fervor to learn new skills and subjects make her a viable applicant for almost any field. She loves working as part of a team and is excited to move on to the next stage of her career.
