Madeline Smith is a Senior at the Professional Performing Arts School. She studies acting, but involves herself in the world of theatre in more ways then one. She has lighting designed and stage managed two showcases at PPAS and also trains in Aerial Acrobatics at NY circus arts. Favorite roles include Little Sally in PPAS’s main stage production of Urinetown, Sal in PPAS’s black box production of The Moonlight Room, Rae in the off-Broadway production of Bellevue Sketches at the Player’s Theatre. She has recently made her TV debut on L&O SVU! Madeline is currently working for the nonprofit organization, Kids Meeting Kids. She is also president of the community service committee at PPAS. This year, she began the Feed The Hungry project at her school where every few weeks, a group of students put together 50 meals and hand them out to the homeless community of midtown, accompanied with hats, gloves, and scarves. Madeline’s next project will be a benefit for Haiti coming up in May.
