Jia Zhao is an attorney admitted to the New York Bar. Her practice primarily includes representing individuals and corporate clients on a broad range of complex business immigration matters, including EB-1, EB-5, L-1, O-1, H-1B and PERM based immigration petitions. Jia has a special focus on investment immigration (EB-5). She has represented regional centers in filing I-924 regional center designation applications and high-net-worth individuals in filing I-526 petitions (both regional center model and direct investment). She has obtained approvals for both regional centers and foreign investors. Jia also has experience in and has successfully filed family-based and employment-based immigrant visa petitions, non-immigrant visa petitions, and naturalization applications. In addition to immigration, Jia also advises clients on a variety of corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, domestic and cross-border joint ventures, and other business combinations. Her prior experience includes: Fragomen, Del Rey, Bernsen & Loewy, LLP, a leading global immigration law firm; Kevin Kerveng Tung, P.C., a reputable boutique law firm; and the legal department of Samsung Heavy Industries. Jia received her B.A. from Duke University and J.D. from Fordham University School of Law. She speaks fluent English and Mandarin Chinese and is conversational in Italian. Jia is an avid fan of sports, especially basketball, soccer and tennis.
