Jeff has over 30 years of retail operations experience, with Zayre/Ames Department Stores (22 years) and IKEA (New Haven, CT) 14 years. As a leader, he focuses on team member work-life balance promoting Productivity, Teamwork and Commitment, to positively impact the company’s bottom line. During his career he has been recognized as a strong communicator and analytical with excellent organizational skills. He has developed, implemented and maintained store operational programs for all three major retailers. As a Customer-Centric leader he has managed Customer Relations Departments for both retailers, including the development of a co-worker customer engagement program focused on simplicity and customer/peer recognition. Today, he also is the public relations representative for IKEA New Haven, interacting with community members and TV and print media. During his time at Ames, he founded a corporate charitable program raising more than $1m for The Hole in The Wall Gang Camp, a wonderful place in Ashford, CT for children with life-threatening illnesses. His family is proud to continue their friendship with Camp after 20 years. Jeff volunteers as the Box Office/Ticket Manager for Guilford, CT High School and looks to support other non-profit ventures in a similar capacity.
