Emily Wolper founded E. Wolper, Inc. Admissions Consulting in 1999 after having served as an admissions officer at Columbia University. Ms. Wolper, who holds a BA in religion from Vassar College and an MA in Educational Theatre from New York University, consults privately to both undergraduate and graduate applicants and their families, sharing with them the knowledge that she has gained during her years on the admissions side and throughout her consulting career. She is a frequent speaker and facilitator of workshops and is very passionate about helping students discover their interests through extracurricular activities. Emily is the former President of the Vassar Club of New York. Under her leadership, the club grew significantly and developed new and compelling programming, reaching all generations of Vassar Alumnae/i. She is a professional singer, avid crafter and leadership volunteer. She works with teens at the Red Cross in her hometown of Morristown, NJ, and she is an active member of and frequent soloist in the award winning Harmonium Choral Society. Emily is also a proud member of In Good Company Workspaces, a workspace and community for women entrepreneurs. In 2011, Emily started a new partnership with a tutoring company called Private Prep. Through this partnership, she hires, trains and mentors new admissions coaches to support applicants, just as she does in her admissions consulting practice.
