Elizabeth Nielson is native of Woodstock, NY. She earned her BFA from Parsons School of Design in 2003, and her BA in Psychology form Eugene Lang College the same year. Elizabeth went on to pursue an MA in Psychology from the New School for Social Research and is currently working on her dissertation to complete her PhD in Clinical Psychology at Walden University. Elizabeth resides part of the year in Brazil, at her home in Caraguatatuba, SP, and part on the Adriatic coast of Italy. She and her husband rent vacation properties in Italy, Brazil, and Woodstock, NY. Together they design and build houses in a coastal community in Brazil. Elizabeth has also worked on many artistic projects at places like MOMA’s PS1, and independently. Elizabeth has also worked in NYC and upstate NY as a substance abuse counselor in various settings while pursuing her PhD. She served on the American Psychological Association of Graduate Students Convention Committee (2009-2011) and volunteered for a full year with Habit for Humanity in Santiago, Chile in 2006.
