Mr. Young’s expertise spans magazines, television, traditional retail, digital commerce, digital creative and internet marketing. While a college undergraduate he co-founded The Source Magazine, arguably one of the most significant cultural phenomena in modern music and popular culture. Under his business tutelage, The Source became one of the most successful magazine launches, with line extensions such as The Source Sports and The Source Awards, in publishing history. Additionally, while simultaneously acting as Associate Publisher at The New Republic Magazine, Mr. Young created one of the most successful direct marketing infomercial campaigns in magazine publishing history. Currently, he is the CEO of the technology companies Teacher Utility, Blackbird Solutions and F2F 6Sixty Digital. Apps and platforms related to these companies include EasySGO, Blackbird Mobile, Inflight Reader, EZ Waiting Room, zinnApp.com, magMaker® and over one hundred custom-branded magazine apps. He has served on the National Endowment for the Arts Literary Magazine and Press funding boards. He is also a board member of The Institute for Entrepreneurial Leadership (IFEL) and a Founding Member of Platform.org. He is a magna cum laude graduate of Harvard University and resides in New Jersey with his wife of 23 years, Karen, and their sixteen-year old son.
