“I just love to make them dance…” that’s how Jared Crawford aka “Choclattjared” has described his life’s mission, since he was just five years old. Choclattjared is a percussion prodigy who incessantly started playing drums with McDonald straws at the tender age of three. By thirteen, Choclattjared took his beats to the streets for the first time and he soon gained recognition as one of the world renowned Bucket Drummers of the New York City streets and subway stations. By 21 Choclattjared became one of the creators and co-stared in the 4 time Tony Award winning musical, "Bring in Da Noise Bring in Da Funk". Choclattjared has also had significant features by a broad spectrum of artists such as Lauryn Hill, Savion Glover, Beyonce, Rihanna, Alicia Keys and Aretha Franklin to name a few. He’s also stared in television commercials for MetroPCS, Capital One Bank, CBS Sports Network and Burger King as well as television features on NBC's 30 Rock, TEDx New York and Sesame Street. His movie credits include "Conspiracy Theory" starring Mel Gibson and "Sliver" starring Sharon Stone, he was also featured in the Radio City Music Hall Spring Spectacular starring the Rockettes. Currently Choclattjared just filmed for up and coming movie entitled "Breaking Brooklyn" starring Louis Gossett Jr. which will be released in 2016 and also a Maybelline makeup commercial starring Gigi Habib which will also be released in 2016. He is also performing around the country promoting his new mix tape/albums entitled "Drumtantrums".
