Cassandra Hastie, a sophomore at Harvard College, was born and raised in Woodstock, NY. She majors in Government with a secondary in Ethnicity, Migration, Rights and intends to go to law school after completing her undergraduate degree. Her overall interests include human rights and international relations. Outside of the classroom she is a peer counselor for a group called ECHO (Eating Concerns Hotline and Outreach), serves on the Internships and Career Services Committee at the Harvard Institute of Politics, participates in the production side of shows put on by the Harvard Radcliffe Dramatic Club, gives tours and information sessions for the Harvard Admissions Office, and is a member of the Harvard College Students for Scholars at Risk club. During the summer of 2015, Cassandra coordinated the tour program for the Harvard College Admissions Office while also interning for a non-profit called EChO (Eradicate Childhood Obesity). This coming summer she hopes to work for a non-profit organization related to human rights!
