Carol Lewis is an artist/writer/educator finding her roots in the generosity of possibility and the burdens of bearing witness to the disconnect between people, and the space and spirit in which we exist. Birth mother to an artist, her daily struggle and commitment is for each word spoken, written and passed on for all, including her students, is to shed light where there is dark, inspire and ignite the power of individual will, communal responsibility, compassion and creativity to clearly define the ambiguous and give breath to dreams that preserve the best of us. Planting seeds for tomorrow. Her first novel, Flights of Annie, was written in 8 days and cover art was provided by her eleven year old son. Over a decade later Carol still plays and works with words like crayons. The music, rhythm and rhyme of letters weaved together for a cloth of modest reflection and humble cause for moral action.
