Brett A. Berman
Brett A. Berman graduated from Lehigh University with a degree in history and received his JD from Southwestern University School of Law. Brett recently opened his own law firm, where he practices exclusively in the area of family law. Prior to opening his own firm, Brett spent five years working for the largest and most preeminent family law firm in Los Angeles, Feinberg, Mindel, Brandt & Klein, LLP. Before becoming a lawyer, Mr. Berman served as a financial advisor with Merrill Lynch in New York City. Brett has published articles on complex family law issues in the Los Angeles Daily Journal newspaper and lectured on divorce taxation. He has also volunteered as a Judge for the Constitutional Law Foundation annual mock trial competition held at the Los Angeles Superior Court. On the pro bono front, Brett has worked with the Los Angeles Domestic Violence Project, an organization committed to assisting abused and indigent women obtain domestic violence restraining orders. Brett has appeared on the Dr. Phil Show as a legal analyst in the area of family law. Brett has a wife, Michelle, and two children.
