Dr. Alina Yurkovsky is a school and clinical psychologist as well as a life coach. She is the Director of Academic Support at the Saint Andrew's School, a prep school in Boca Raton, FL, where she works as school psychologist and oversees the implementation of learning support for Pre-K through 12th grade. She works with children and adults on a variety of issues, including anxiety, depression, social anxiety, ADHD. She also works with couples. She helps with living through, learning from and healing major life events such as divorce, career transitions, as well as the grief and mourning process. Dr. Yurkovsky is trained in a variety of therapeutic modalities including Hypnotherapy, Dialectal Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Relational Self Psychology (psychoanalytic approach) and Focusing (great for creative, “right brain” thinkers). She has worked at a variety of prep schools including The Dalton School, The Dwight-Englewood School and Montclair Kimberley Academy. She also trained at Bellevue hospital and did several years of post-doctoral training at several psychoanalytic institutes in New York City.
